Join winner of the 2019 Women's Prize for Fiction, Tayari Jones, as she talks about her latest UK novel, Silver Sparrow. Alongside Festival chair, Jo Browning Wroe, Tayari explores life in her home town Atlanta following the brutal murder of Rayshard Brooks. Their conversation provides insightful thoughts on issues surrounding the global Black Lives Matter movement, racial politics, and the aftermath of the tragic and brutal murder of George Floyd.
Tayari Jones' event is the final part of our FREE-TO-VIEW Listening Festival, provided as a thank you for all of your generous donations.
